Vondelpark

The Vondelpark is Amsterdam's largest park and the preferred place for walking, cycling, playing sports, eating al fresco or relaxing in one of its terraced cafes.

With more than 10 million visitors each year, the Vondelpark is Amsterdam's most famous park and the whole of Holland.

At the moment it has about 470,000 square meters on which they inhabit hundreds of different vegetal species and small animals able to entertain and to cheer to the visitors.

In 1996 the park was declared "National Monument" (Rijksmonument, in Dutch), fact indicative of the great cultural and historical value that this space represents.

If you are traveling with children or just want to rest and enjoy the tranquility, this is the place to take a break. The central location of the Vondelpark in the vicinity of Leidseplein, makes this green lung of the city very attractive for its visitors.

If you go to the park one summer night, you can probably enjoy a concert, or maybe an outdoor play.
